Although tea lead reading has proved to be quite popular in Australia and New Zealand, practitioners of this art have tended to rely on cups and saucers made in England or Japan. The lovely 1925-1926 Dunedin Exhibition cups and saucers made by Bridgwood were actually manufactured in England, as were the Aynsley Cup of Knowledge sets marked for Dunedin.

The only cups associated with Australian manufacture are the Morley House symbol reading set of 1972 and the artisinal Tea With Karin line of cartomancy reading cups. Neither of these identifies as a pottery company, however. The Morley House set is "decorated by Westminster China," probably over tea cups that were Made in Japan, and the Tea With Karin line consists of double-glazed cups on a variety of un-marked cups, most of which wither Made in England or Europe.
