B. Shackman Genuine Porcelain Fortune Telling Teacup White Gilt, round-bottomed, with box, side view

This B. Shackman Round-Bottomed Genuine Porcelain Fortune Telling Teacup is less well known, and far less often encountered, than the B. Shackman Cup of Knowledge.

There are two versions of this B. Shackman cup, both made in Japan. This is the tall, B. Shackman Round-Bottomed Genuine Porcelain Fortune Telling Teacup with a simple C-shaped handle. The other is the tall B. Shackman Conical Genuine Porcelain Fortune Telling Teacup with a complex handle,. Both bear the same decals. It is unknown to me if they were issued with saucers, but i have never seen a saucer for either cup.

These cups are knock-offs or unauthorized copies of the Red Rose Cup of Fortune,, which was issued in 1964. Therefore i have tentatively dated them to 1965 or 1966.
