Wheeling

Stone and Thomas Tea Room, Wheeling, West Virginia, press photo, circa 1980. Stone and Thomas was a department store in Wheeling that was founded in the 19th century and survived until the early 21st century. It was famous for its tea room, seen here in 1980s decor, and for the holiday events hosted there, such as "Breakfast with Santa" and "Breakfast with the Easter Bunny," to which children were taken by their mothers to meet costumed theme-characters.
