Hy-Hil Studio was an otherwise unknown pottery company of the 1950s. The name Hy-Hil may be an amalgamation of the names of two of its principles. Hy-Hil's only divination cup was The Cup of Fortune, which came in two styles. Because the decoration was primarily gilded, but the cup patterns varied, it is likely that Hy-Hil Studio was a "marker" or re-decorator that purchased fired and glazed cups and then over-glazed them with gold and/or colours. No Hy-Hil Studio has been found with a matching saucer. Both styles are marked with the Design Patent number D 124
