Booths Yellow Wembley Set

Booths, also known as Booths Silicon China, was one of the six British pottery companies that joined forces during the Wembley British Empire Exhibition in 1924 - 1925 to craft "The Cup of Knowledge" divination tea cups and saucers.

Booths cups marked for the exhibition came in two shapes, a plain rounded cup and a shape characterized by a raised ridged band around the exterior. They are glazed with bright plain-colour exteriors and black edge-trim. The ivory Booths cups are either plain or have an applied band of formal gilded trim.
